Hallowe'en Happenings

Family completing a halloween trail

Lots of spooky fun to be had at Godolphin this half term, put on your best hallowe’en costume and join us for some Hallowe’en happenings!

Spooky stories

Professional storyteller Mark Harandon will be at Godolphin this Hallowe'en on Wednesday 25 and Sunday 29 October, telling spine-tingling spooky tales to intrigue children and adults alike. Hear the account of Godolphin's famous white lady Margaret Blagge, as well as tales of ghostly carriageways and haunted chambers. Meeting in the undercroft - venture in if you dare!

Hallowe'en trail

The hallowe’en trail running from Saturday 21 to Tuesday 31 October will see you journey around the site in search of bats – you may learn a few fascinating and gruesome facts along the way too! In the Cider House you can watch footage of resident bats at Godolphin and have a go at some bat craft activities!

Apple Pressing

On Tuesday 24 October visit the Cider House and have a go at pressing some apples picked from the apple trees at Godolphin. You can also have a taste of the juice you've made with your fair hands!

Make the most of your visit

There’s plenty more to explore at Godolphin, make the most of the autumn sunshine and go for a walk on the wider estate; take in the breath-taking views at the top of Godolphin Hill or take a walk barefoot before the barefoot trail closes at the end of the October half term. The Piggery tearoom serves a selection of homemade cakes and hot drinks, the perfect place to warm up and indulge!
