Autumn/ winter gifts and accessories
The new gift shop autumn/winter range ‘Bohemian Circles’, is inspired by the collective spirit of a bohemian lifestyle in the early decades of the 20th century, our Bohemian Circles collection reflects the broad artistic sensibility and eclectic nature of the era. With influences ranging from post-impressionist paintings, to country house interior textiles and ceramics our designs take inspiration from Monk’s House in Lewes, East Sussex; home of Virginia Woolf an English writer and one of the foremost modernists of the twentieth century and member of the Bloomsbury Group. From floral to abstract, inspired by natural forms as well as geometric patterning, diversity is the keynote of our collection, reflected in the bohemian characters themselves and a particularly English response to modernism.
Planning for Christmas…
‘Winter Twilight’ themed Christmas gifts, treats and cards, as well as 2018 calendars and diaries are now available to buy in our Stables shop. Our new Christmas collection is based on the “Twilight Hour”. Leaves and berries shine and glimpses of softened reds and greens appear amongst this out of focus setting. Textures are raw and untreated for this outdoors inspired theme with a focus on an earthy tactility; a rough yet refined finish. Natural Textures, honest materials and trailing leaf patterns allow us to bring the outdoors in.
