Firm favourites and something unique
As well as the traditional National Trust products you know and love - lemon curd, homemade jams, books, cards and kitchenware - we have a curated selection of local products from within 30 miles of Hardwick, including products made by the Hardwick rangers from Hardwick wood.
There's a gorgeous selection of throws and rugs, scarves, useful things to help you enjoy the outdoors plus lots more including books and stationery. There's also a great selection of preloved books in our second-hand bookshop.
Open every day
We've one of the biggest National Trust shops in the Midlands, housed in the former stables, and we're open every day from 10am until 6pm. So if you fancy some retail therapy or help with finding a gift, do pop in.
New for spring/summer 2018
The latest collection to arrive in the shop, designed in-house and exclusive to the National Trust, is Valleys to Headlands, which is inspired by the rich beauty in the landscape and wildlife we protect.
Amongst the items for sale in the shop you'll find scarves, kitchenware and home accessories all featuring designs inspired by wildflower trails and wooded valleys. For the summer season we also have a range of Valleys to Headlines inspired picnic ware, perfect for making the most of the summer at Hardwick.
For the greenfingered
Our plant shop has a wonderful seasonal range with many plants being propagated from the Hardwick gardens, including some unusual specimens. You'll also discover a great range of gardening tools, books, decorations and gifts.

National Trust membership or gift cards make an ideal alternative gift and can be purchased at Hardwick.
Membership starts at just £64.80 a year and gives you access to over 500 unforgettable places as well as helping to protect them for future generations.Find out more about why you should join us.
Our gift cards can be spent at most National Trust properties (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) in our shops, cafes and admission points or towards membership itself. It can also be used for telephone bookings of National Trust holiday cottages including those here at Hardwick. Cards come in values from £10 to £500, in multiples of £5.
