Why 125?
For over 125 years the National Trust has looked after buildings, landscapes and collections for everyone to enjoy. In celebration of this milestone and to mark the publication of a new book 125 Treasures from the Collections in the National Trust, we will be showcasing five of Hardwick’s own treasures in a new display this Winter.
What objects are they?
See if you agree! Explore the stories behind some of the remarkable objects in our care which highlight Bess’ impeccable taste and the quality of the craftmanship with which she surrounded herself. We can share there is a piece of furniture, two portraits, ceramic and a embroidery.
The book will be available to purchase in our onsite shop in the Stable Yard.
When and where can I see them?
All through the Winter. The Hall is open 7 days a week, 11.00am - 3.30pm. Situated on the ground floor. Please note: one item is a replica and can be seen in situ on the top floor
