This August sees the return of the popular outdoor cinema nights at Hardwick. Spend a memorable evening with your friends and colleagues, watching some entertaining movies.

Friday 16 August - Pretty Woman (15)

In this 90s take on Cinderella, a prostitute and a wealthy businessman fall hard for one another, forming an unlikely pair. While on a business trip in L.A., Edward (Richard Gere), who makes a living buying and breaking up companies, picks up a hooker, Vivian (Julia Roberts), on a lark. After Edward hires Vivian to stay with him for the weekend, the two get closer, only to discover there are significant hurdles to overcome as they try to bridge the gap between their very different worlds.

Saturday 17 August - Bohemian Rhapsody (12A)

Following the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant Live Aid reunion. There Mercury, facing the battle for his life with his HIV diagnosis, leads the band to a performance that cements their legacy. Rami Malek (Mr Robot) dons the moustache as Freddie Mercury with Joseph Mazello as John Deacon, Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor and Gwilym Lee as Brian May.

Sunday 18 August - Rocky Horror Picture Show (15)

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
