Whether you are looking for a relaxing lunch with friends or family, a sweet treat or a rewarding breakfast after a walk, there is always something to tempt you at Hardwick’s restaurant.

The Great Barn Restaurant itself provides a different feel in each of the areas within it; if visitors wish to enjoy a latte and a magazine, the sofas in the ‘Loft’ allows you  to take your time in comfy and quieter surroundings, whilst families are fully catered for with special menus, toys/ games and highchairs to make it easy for you to enjoy a meal together.

Friends meeting for a walk and a coffee are able to drop in for a catch up, without worrying about muddy boots! Business users also use the Great Barn, with easy access from the M1 J29 and free WiFi, grab some lunch and catch up on emails too.

Our Catering Manager and Head Chef co-write seasonal menus and a specials board hosts a range of creative dishes. Head Chef, Ricky, works closely with the Senior Gardener to get the best seasonal ingredients to bring to the delicious dishes. Hardwick boasts one the largest and impressive herb gardens in the country and it provides a variety of herbs and vegetables, for example, apple mint, peppermint, rosemary, artichokes, cardoons, sage and fennel.

Some of this seasonal menu highlights are: sausage with bubble and squeak and a rich onion gravy, a salad of roast beetroot, walnut, watercress and soft cheese and ginger and satsuma cake for a tasty afternoon treat. Children's menus are also available.
