The sights and sounds of spring

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt through daffodils

Spring is finally here with longer, warmer days, discoveries to be made, and the possibilities of new adventures!

Discover a new story Making his Mark: the 1st Marquess' blueprint for Ickworth and find out how he shaped the Ickworth we see today.

We are lucky to see the return of the 95th Rifles regiment to the estate with a bang with the Battle of Waterloo on  6 & 7 April. Join us as they take over the grounds with authentic living, training and grand battles galore to a triumphant conclusion. Lots of fun for all the family, including Children's drill workshops, living history demonstrations of camp surgery and authentic living. Huzzah!

Nothing signifies spring more than seeing bright new flowers and beautiful blooming gardens. Our gardens at Ickworth are filled with daffodils and tulips, as everything starts to emerge ready for the new season! If you want to find out more about the plants on the estate, join our gardeners each month for a specialty walk delving into our historic flowers.

This year, explore our new trail: take time for yourself and discover Ickworth's hidden gems for getting back to nature.Grab a map from the Info hub, choose your location and get walking!

Look out for the spring lambs starting to bounce onto the estate. At Ickworth we have over 1000 lambs every year and the parkland is the perfect opportunity for them to frolic and grow.
