Staying safe in the shop

The safety of staff, volunteers and visitors is our priority, therefore we've introduced social distancing measures including:

  • Where necessary, we will limit the flow of people coming into our shop to ensure they don’t get too busy.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for customers and colleagues to use, as well as extra cleaning products to wipe baskets.
  • We've installed protective screens at till points.
  • We've created separate entrances and exits, so that it’s easier to keep a safe distance from other customers.
  • Our staff and signs will reinforce these safety measures.

In line with government guidance, you're required to wear a face covering in most enclosed spaces, unless exempt. Please bring one with you.

Step into springtime

Inside the shop you'll find plenty of spring inspired gifts, homeware items and award-winning estate produce.

Explore our celebration of rivers through our exclusive Riverlands collection, which has taken inspiration from the rivers in our care and the work that is done to help keep them healthy, clean and rich in wildlife. Our designers have been inspired by a walk along the riverbank along with the luscious foliage, bees, butterflies and dragonflies that can be seen along the way. From colourful cushions to 100% silk scarves, there's a spring inspired design for everyone.

Spring cleaning

Throw open the windows, enjoy the fresh air and let the spring cleaning begin. Our exclusive laundry and household cleaning products range is made in Somerset using essential oils; these products are equally uplifting and powerful. Tantalsing scents such as the citrus furniture polish or lavender fabric conditioner will help to make cleaning a pleasure. In addition, these products are certified by the Soil Association, Cruelty Free International, Allergy UK and The Vegan Society.

Food, glorious food

All our delicious food range is made especially for us here in the UK by small artisanal producers using the finest, carefully sourced ingredients. Try our passionfruit or blood orange curd on your toast for a refreshing start to your day. Killerton is a working estate and we sell our own produce including award-winning cider and charcoal. Pop in for a section of gins including Salcome gin, or try our elderflower cordial-it's always a firm favourite and reminds us that long summer days and sunshine are soon to follow spring.

Perfect plants and presents

We know that for many, the garden is a sanctuary so you will find the perfect gift, gadgets, books and tools a-plenty in the garden room. Our new book ‘School of Gardening’ is filled with examples of best practice from National Trust gardens, and unique gems of wisdom. It’s ideal for both keen novices or experienced amateurs.

We have a great selection of green and flowering plants, some have been grown by our own garden team here on the estate. Pick up something to add colour and texture to your garden, or as a gift to delight a fellow green-fingered friend.

Hundreds of books on the shelves in Killerton's second-hand bookshop

Killerton's second-hand bookshop

Whether you're a fan of fiction or non-fiction, we have hundreds of titles for you to browse.

Please be aware that the second-hand book shop is unable to accept book donations at the moment.

The second-hand book shop has also reopened with a fresh, new airy look. All our books have been kindly donated by members of the public and all money raised from their sale helps to care for Killerton.

Take the opportunity to try a new author or you may just find that out of print book you have been searching for. We also have a selection of children's books too, pop in to take a look.

Killerton plant centre

The plant centre is currently closed. We have a selection of green and flowering plants available in the stables courtyard by the retail shop.
