Half term fun at Blickling Estate

From Thursday 22 October - Sunday 1 November, discover fun for all the family with a variety of activities across the estate. Hire bikes or bring your own, follow Percy The Park Keeper's story in the walled garden, try our Caddisfly trail or explore the house.

Discover the gardens

Explore the garden every day of the week and find secret tunnels, squishy trees and much more. There's plenty of fun to be had, from a family game of hide and seek in the yew hedges, to trying our Caddisfly trail or following Percy The Park Keeper's story 'One Springy Day' in the walled garden.

Caddisfly trail

Caddisfly is a type of riverfly and can be found in Blickling's stream. Download our activity sheet before you come, then follow the trail around the garden, and find out how the Caddisfly larvae make a coat, to protect themselves.

Percy the Park Keeper on Wall

Percy The Park Keeper is back at Blickling

Join Percy and his animal friends in a series of adventures based on Nick Butterworth’s classic books. As the seasons change, Percy and his friends will be adventuring around the house and garden and they can't wait for you to join them...

Head out into the parkland

Get exploring and head for the park. Whether you're walking, bringing your own bikes or hiring bikes from our cycle hub, there are thousands of acres for you to enjoy. Bring a picnic with you or stop off at Muddy Boots café to pick up some supplies before you start your adventure.

Explore the house

Create your very own fairytale adventures with your children or grandchildren as you walk up the staircase in the Great Hall. You'll find the first floor open for you to enjoy, including our impressive 123 foot Long Gallery Library - a delight to any budding book worm!
