Bee Friendly accredited

Colby Woodland Garden in Pembrokeshire welcomes a hive of activity this summer as we celebrate achieving Bee Friendly status, a national accreditation for protecting pollinators.

The Welsh Government initiative is the first coordinated national scheme of its kind to help combat the decline of pollinating insects.

Our team of gardeners and volunteers have been working hard across the estate to deliver for pollinators, from creating wildflower strips, wide field margins and scrub-woodland nesting habitats to the planting of native species and orchards.

The certification recognises our commitment to providing pollinator-friendly flowers throughout the year, places for insect pollinators to live, avoiding chemicals that harm pollinators and also involving the community.

Busy Bees celebration

This summer, we invite you to discover the power of pollinators as we host a Busy Bees programme of events, activities and top tips to take home. There's a swarm of activities to enjoy, take a look at our what's on guide below.
