Secrets of the National Trust with Alan Titchmarsh 

Join Alan Titchmarsh as he goes behind the scenes at our places in a second series of Secrets of the National Trust. At Hardwick he discovers the story of Bess of Hardwick, who rose from humble beginnings to become the second most powerful woman in the country behind Queen Elizabeth I. Alan will also uncover the tragic story of Bess’ granddaughter, Arbella Stuart, who ended up imprisoned in the Tower of London. Tune in on 27 February at 8pm, Channel 5 to find out more.
