Throughout winter the house is open every day from 10.30am, so why not take the opportunity to step inside and explore? The garden, parkland, cafes and shops are also open on a daily basis from 10am - 3.30pm.
Book a break away
A popular holiday destination, East Anglia is a region of contrasts and character. With spectacular coastlines and beautiful landscapes, it’s easy to see why people come to this little slice of heaven. So whether it's a summer party with friends, an Easter family break or a cosy weekend away for two, get away from it all in one of our holiday cottages.
Enjoy some winter colour
It always lifts the spirits to see a splash of colour in the garden. Get inspired for some winter colour in your own garden with a wander around the Dell and Orangery garden, as the snowdrops, early daffodils and hellebores appear.
There's plenty of evidence to show how exercise makes you feel better, both mentally and physically, so why not take part in some exercise at Blickling Estate? Whatever your level of fitness, enjoy walking, running and cycling in beautiful surroundings.
All are welcome to join Blickling parkrun on a Saturday morning at 9am. This group of runners meet each week, with ablilities varying from beginners to the more advanced.
Walking for Health
If running isn't your thing, then what about joining a walking group? Walking for Health is an initiative set up to support people to get active and stay active. Blickling Estate is often the venue for the free health walks. The walks start at 10:30am and vary between 2-4 miles. Please check their website for further details or call 01603 897193.
Join our friendly dog walking group every Monday at 10am. It's a great atmosphere and a good opportunity to discuss your pets with likeminded owners. We request that all dog walkers respect other park users and keep their four-legged friend under close control at all times. We look forward to seeing you.
Guided estate walks
Would you like to find out more about Blickling's ancient woodland, fascinating landmarks and secrets of the wider estate? Meet us outside Estate Barn visitor reception at the main car park every Sunday at 11am for a guided walk. This hour and a half stroll is a great way to see some of the most stunning views across the estate and to learn about its incredible history.
Our cycle hub situated at the main car park has everything you need to explore the wider estate on two wheels. Our multi-use trail provides smooth terrain whatever the weather and is a great route for seeing the highlights of Blickling's parkland.
Relax and go fishing
Join us at Blickling Lake for an opportunity to relax and enjoy some winter fishing. Our new fishing platforms are perfect for setting up and making yourself comfortable. The lake is well stocked and a popular spot to observe local wildlife. Our fishing season runs from June to March and is a suitable location for all ages and abilities.

Car parking is free for National Trust members, however there is a £5 charge to park in any car park on the Blickling Estate for non-members. Please note the machines only take coins.
