Percy The Park Keeper at Blickling Estate

Percy the Park Keeper at Blickling Estate, Norfolk

Percy The Park Keeper has just celebrated his 30th anniversary and we’ll be celebrating Nick Butterworth’s much-loved character at Blickling Estate throughout 2020.

From 13 January until 22 November, Percy The Park Keeper is taking up residence at Blickling Estate, as part of our work to encourage more children to celebrate nature and enjoy stories, like we do at Blickling with the nationally important book collection in our care.

Percy The Park Keeper loves to spend time with his animal friends, even though his work in the park keeps him very busy. The animals often need Percy's help, and he is always there to lend a hand. Now you can join him on his spring adventure.

Storytime with Nick Butterworth

As well as being able to download the story to read at home, you can join Nick Butterworth for storytime as he reads One Springy Day in this short video. With his great sound effects and close up glimpses of illustrations from his book, we hope you enjoy the story.

Join Percy on more adventures...

Percy's adventures will change with the seasons, so come back and visit us over the year as we explore other stories in the collection. We still have trails and activities around Treasure Hunt and After The Storm to look forward to later this year.
