Visiting Blickling: What you need to know

A family of four taking in the view of Blickling Hall

We're looking forward to welcoming you back to the house, gardens and parkland. To avoid disappointment please book in advance, especially at busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. However, where space is available on weekdays, pre-booking may not always be necessary. Take a look at our handy guide on what you need to know to help plan your day.

Have your tickets ready

If you have pre-booked, you won't need to pay for parking. Please have your tickets ready to show staff alongside your membership card (if you're a NT member). For those arriving without a ticket, please pay for your parking at the machine or scan your membership card. If you're then visiting the house and garden please head to the Estate Barn to purchase tickets.

Arrive in your time slot

Please make a note of your half hour arrival slot and turn up on time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late for your arrival slot then entry will be at the discretion of the property team. If you arrive early, we may ask you to come back later. Once you are parked, you can stay for as long as you like.

Leaving the estate

The house, gardens and parkland close at 4pm and the main car park closes at 4.15pm. Please be aware of these times when you're planning your day. If you've booked a later afternoon slot, we would recommend that you either concentrate on the house or the garden, giving you the perfect excuse to come back another day and complete your visit. Last entry to the house is 3.15pm.

Staying safe

We've reduced the number of people we can welcome to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers and local communities. To help keep everyone safe, please follow social distancing and government guidance when you visit. Look out for signs while you're here which will explain any changes to how you can access different parts of the site.

If you're showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don't visit.

In line with government guidance, you're required to wear a face covering in all enclosed spaces. Please bring one with you.
