Volunteer at the home of Sir Winston Churchill

Volunteer Jenny Dunn in the garden at Chartwell

Do something amazing with your spare time by volunteering at Chartwell. There's more to Chartwell than just the house; why not help out the garden team with some planting, or welcome visitors to the property in our visitor welcome centre?

UPDATE - As all National Trust properties are now closed, we are not currently able to accept any new volunteers at this time. We very much look forward to welcoming new applications once we reopen and have left our volunteer stories up for you to read during this time.

Become a Chartwell Volunteer

If you're looking for a new challenge, then we're looking for you. Our volunteers are an integral part to what we do here at Chartwell and we have so many opportunities on offer for you. If you haven't already, check out our 'Find your role' page at the top which lists all of the different parts of the site you could be getting involved with.

Don't take it from us though, read about it in their own words below.

" I have greatly enjoyed doing something positive to help preserve such a historic house and I enjoy meeting the visitors of all ages from babes in arms to those of my parents' generation, who remember Churchill as Prime Minister."
- Robin - Volunteer Room Steward
