Celebrate the festive season as select rooms of the house are dressed for the season. Bring the whole family along to enjoy our 12 days of Christmas trail, or just enjoy the frosty scene with a wintry walk across the estate.

Celebrate a unique Christmas at Chartwell this yuletide season between Saturday 5 to Sunday 20 December; 11.30am-2.30pm. Step inside the house to find select rooms dressed for Christmas. House tickets are available from the Visitor Centre on arrival and are not available to book in advance. Tickets are not guaranteed and a prebooked garden ticket is required. Christmas trees this year have kindly been donated by Coolings, an independent Garden Centre group, located in Kent and East Sussex.

Christmas story-telling weekend at Chartwell 2019

Join us at Chartwell this Christmas for a weekend of story-telling, arts and crafts and more with Winston Churchill's own nanny, Mrs Everest, to help tell the tale of the Gingerbread Man. This event is free but must be booked in advance.

Join us on our Christmas family trail here at Chartwell. Trail is on from 21 Nov - 5 Jan, 10am-3pm and costs £1, normal admission applies. Suitable for ages 2-10 years with a buggy friendly route available.

Escape from the hustle and bustle this winter - wrap up warm and get exploring on a walk around the estate at Chartwell. You could even make a whole day of it by walking to our neighbouring National Trust properties, Emmetts Garden and Toys Hill, or stop by the café for a warming drink and hot food on your return.
