Family-friendly feasts from our food ambassador
Chef, writer and National Trust Food Ambassador, Claire Thomson has created a new book full of delicious family-friendly recipes. Written by Claire in partnership with us, the National Trust Family Cookbook offers over 100 thrifty and imaginative recipes perfect for busy families.
A professional chef and mother of three, Claire is passionate about turning the notion of children’s food on its head. Claire has made it her mission to revitalise family mealtimes with inventive, healthy recipes to cater for even the pickiest of eaters.
Since becoming our new food ambassador last year, Claire has been working with our Development Chef, Clive Goudercourt to develop tantalising new recipes for our cafes.
Now with the National Trust Family Cookbook, Claire has set out to inspire parents stuck in a teatime rut.
Combining her experience as a chef with the daily challenge of feeding her own young children, Claire has developed an array of tasty and nutritious recipes for the whole family to enjoy.
With chapters divided into manageable time frames so you cook what you want, when you want it, the cookbook is packed full of delicious ideas for lunches and suppers, as well as on-the-go breakfasts and lunchbox alternatives.
From yogurt and cardamom chicken wraps, pea and halloumi fritters to Vietnamese noodle salad, Claire provides alternative twists and substitutes so you can suit the ingredients to your family’s tastes.
