Explore Ickworth this New Year

A winter walk at Ickworth

Blow away the cobwebs and explore everything Ickworth has to offer this New Year. From winter welly walks through carpets of snowdrops to half term fun and activities, there is something for everyone.

This January Ickworth is launching a brand new house exhibition which theatrically transforms the collection, created by design collective The Decorators, working with lighting designers Studio Dekka. The central Rotunda has been plunged into darkness by scaffolding shrouding the building, we have embraced this darkness to display select objects in a brand new light. Presenting these treasures highlights the importance of our current conservation works and the legacy it protects. Visit this exhibition at your own leisure 11am-3pm last entry 2.15pm

To help walk off the Christmas indulgence, Ickworth has 1800 acres to explore so why not head further afield and discover some new views this New Year?

Follow the path along Lady Geraldine's Walk, as well as The Albana Walk, where snowdrops are complemented by the golden glow of aconites. If it is carpets of white you are looking for, Ickworth is the place to visit. In February you have the opportunity to be led around the best areas on the estate by our Gardens team, and see our beautiful historic Snowdrop bulbs. Head to our events feed to find out more.

Of course you can always head outside to enjoy our play area, den building area and magical stumpery. Remember to visit our outdoor 50 things station and tick all those things off your list before you're 11 and 3/4s.
