What's on in the house?

There's plenty to keep everyone entertained in the house and it's all free with your House Admission ticket.

Living History

Come down to the Servants’ Quarters on 5 April from 12:30 and see the 1930’s brought to life as you observe Ickworth’s servants go about their daily routines.

Take time to immerse yourself in their surroundings, listen in to their conservations and discover their secrets.

Inspired by real life stories from Ickworth’s archives, see the servants enjoy the arrival of Springtime on the Estate and listen to the gossip from the Housemaids as they discuss Lord Bristol’s gardening exploits.

Cooks in the Kitchen

Our Living History cooks bring the Finishing Kitchen to life baking 1930s dishes.

Spend some time with them on 16 April from 12:00pm - 4:00pm as they prepare some traditional Easter dishes.

Take the opportunity to chat to them about their work, their training with food historian Ivan Day, and to discover the secrets of the Servants’ Quarters Finishing Kitchen in the 1930s.
