On your bike at Blickling Estate

In partnership with British Cycling, with funding support from HSBC UK, we’re offering low-cost cycle hire for all ages, making it easier than ever before to explore the wider estate on two wheels.

With over 4,600 acres of stunning parkland to explore at Blickling, highlights will include ancient woodland, the Tower that was once used by the 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire as a grandstand, and the striking pyramid Mausoleum. Not to mention the sweeping views over the lake, back towards the hall.

Cycle hire is open daily from 10.30am, located next to the main visitor reception. Just turn up and you'll find everything you need to enjoy our scenic trails.

Please note: our Cycle Hub will be closed from 19 - 25 December 2019.

Cycle hire

The opportunity to explore the great outdoors on two wheels can be enjoyed in solitude, as a couple, with family and friends, or with your four-legged companions.  Blickling's cycle hire is also great value for the family:

3 hour hire rate: Adult £5, Child (under 18) £4

Full day hire rate: Adult £8, Child (under 18) £6

Balance bikes are free.

After the launch of our multi-use trail in 2017, supported by Sport England, we recommend this accessible route to all abilities, including adapted wheelchair users, all year round. Whatever the weather, this 4 mile trail takes in all the highlights of the wider estate. Collect a map from us upon arrival, which shows all the best way-marked trails around the estate. And for those wanting to plan ahead, take a look at our downloadable trail.

" I find nothing unwinds me after a hard day at work quite like hopping on my bike and giving the legs a good stretch, especially in the beautiful North Norfolk countryside. "
- Mark Aimes

All routes start and finish at Muddy Boots café, so there’s plenty of opportunity to stop for a well-earned treat.
