Winter fun at Blickling

With frosty mornings, beautiful landscapes and plenty of peace and tranquility, it's time to enjoy one of the most beautiful times of the year - winter on the Blickling Estate.

Winter walks

Get your wellies on and head out in to the parkland for a winter walk.  The lake walk is particularly stunning on a crisp winter's morning.

Get inspired for some winter colour in your own garden with a wander around our winter garden, as the snow drops and hellebores appear.  Head to the Dell and Orangery garden in late winter for a floral delight.

Come and see the house in a different light

For the first time ever, the house will be open every day throughout the winter, giving more opportunities to visit.  From January 2018, we'll be inviting you to see more of the work our skilled conservation team does.

If you visit on a Tuesday or Thursday, you'll also have the opportunity to join in with a 'conservation experience' at 1pm.  This will give you a tour of the house and attics, but with a focus on conservation, showing how your money is helping us to preserve the house.

January sales

There are always some great bargains to be had in the shop after Christmas, so whether you want to stock up on birthday presents, find a treat for yourself or forward to plan to next Christmas, it's worth a look if you're visiting us after Christmas.

Get out & get active

It's that time of year when you start making resolutions for the year ahead and what better way to start than by signing up to a new challenge.  You could join our parkrunners on Saturday mornings or take part in our exciting new challenge of a Night Run.
