Our delicious, seasonal menu includes a variety of dishes made from fresh, locally sourced produce.
We regularly change our range of scrumptious chef's specials. In our restaurant you will find everything from hot meals to sweet treats, all made lovingly with locally sourced, seasonal produce.
Blickling Lemon and Thyme Chicken
Locally sourced, tender chicken cooked with lemon and thyme. Served with walled garden vegetables and butter new potatoes.
A succulent, handmade fish cake served with coleslaw and salad leaves. Perfect for a light, summer lunch.
Courgette salad (v)
Delicious, juicy courgette pieces cooked with lemon, mint and a hint of chilli. Served on a bed of peppery rocket leaves.
Focaccia muffin (v)
Traditional, oven baked focaccia bread served with refreshing, iceberg lettuce.
Beetroot and goats cheese stack (v)
A delicious, summertime dish made from layers of juicy beetroot and thick slices of goats cheese. Served with salad leaves.
Rhubarb sponge (v)
Light sponge cake made with scrumptious, walled garden rhubarb. An ideal, delicate accompaniment for a pot of tea.
Supporting local provenance
At Blickling, we’re proud to support our tenant farmers by incorporating their produce into our ingredients and creating wonderful local dishes. This has been recognised by the National Trust, as Blickling was recently crowned runner-up in a national award for provenance.
Walled garden produce
Ever visited Blickling’s walled garden? Our recently restored 1930s kitchen garden has become a hive of productivity. Come and see where we grow fresh produce to supply our restaurant and cafés. You might even get an opportunity to sample some ingredients.
Our helpful catering team are always happy to accommodate for your dietary requirements, so please just ask for assistance at the counter. We recommend our tempting chocolate brownies as both a gluten free and dairy free alternative.
We love to share our culinary ideas with our visitors and you can now collect recipe cards at the counter. These describe some of our fantastic Blickling dishes for you to try at home. Recipe cards are a 50p suggested donation and help to fund our vital conservation work across the estate.
Doing our bit
As a conservation charity, the income the National Trust generates from food and drink is fundamental in helping us to look after special places for ever, for everyone. Therefore it is extremely important to us that our products and packaging reflect our conservation cause.
All of our takeaway sandwich boxes, cups and lids are fully compostable, low carbon, renewable and completely free from plastic. As a result of using Vegware, every year the National Trust save over three tonnes of carbon; the equivalent of 115 flights from London to Paris.
At Blickling, we responsibly dispose of all our on-site waste, with nearly over 80% of it on average being diverted from landfill.
We now sell reusable, hardwearing and dishwasher safe bamboo cups in our restaurant and shop. Cups are just £8 and whenever you bring your bamboo cup, or any other reusable cup, into our cafés you will receive 25p discount.
